The Magic Garden
The land is rewilding. Behind the farm, in the middle of vast crop fields, twenty acres of limestone soil are coming back to life. We are planting trees, hedgerows, and gardens to make room once again for pollinators, birds, and a forest that provides.
/ OUR PHILOSOPHY
Why We Plant
Around us, there are mostly large-scale field crops. The hedgerows have disappeared, and with them a large share of the pollinators and birds. We want to show that there is another way.
In the long term, we want land that feeds the community around us and that stands strong against climate change: droughts, heat, harsh winters. That's why we plant resilient species, store 57,000 liters of rainwater, and have solar panels covering the roof of the old barn.
The farm is also located within the protection zone of the village's drinking water catchment. Every tree planted here helps protect the water that an entire village drinks.
Finally, Le Jardin Magique is a place to learn and explore permaculture, syntropic agroforestry, and other ways of growing in harmony with living systems.
The farm is an LPO Refuge and a National Wildlife Federation (USA) Certified Wildlife Habitat.

/ EXPERIENCE THE GARDEN
A land that requires attention
Here, the soil is limestone, summers can go for months without rain, and winter drops down to −15°C (5°F). Every planting is designed for this: drought-tolerant species, shade where it's needed, and rainwater harvested for watering.
The garden is open to our guests. Feel free to stroll anywhere on the property. Children have a play area behind the farmhouse, and the hot tub awaits you in the garden, year-round.
And what's to come: beehives, a large pond for biodiversity, a sauna next year, and four Ouessant sheep in spring 2027.
